On December 24, 2024, the Cambodian Youth Network Association (CYN) collaborated with the Prey Lang Youth Network, the Boeung Thom Fishing Community, and the Kbal Khla Forest Community to release 1,600 fish fingerlings into Boeung Thom Conservation Lake, located in Sandan District, Kampong Thom Province.
This activity aims to replenish fish stocks in the conservation area, improve food security for local families, and support community fishing during the upcoming dry season. It also contributes to resource sustainability for surrounding areas’ reforestation and forest protection initiatives.
CYN is dedicated to empowering youth and local communities by enhancing their leadership skills and ensuring their active participation in resource conservation and sustainable development. The event strengthened partnerships with civil society organizations, including Mission Alliance, which supported the program.
This event involved 30 participants, including youth and community representatives, showcasing a collective effort to promote long-term community resilience and environmental conservation.
