Theme: Youth in Business Way Camp
rom October 17 to 19, 2025, the Cambodian Youth Network Association (CYN) led a group to participated camp theme: “Youth in Business Way Camp”. This event was a collaboration between CYN and OREDA, hosting a total of 11 participants, including 7 women and one monk from by CYN. And total all participated as 84 participants, included 42 women the camp was held at the Trapaeng Sangkae Fishing Community in Kampong Kaes Village, Trapaeng Sangkae Commune, Teuk Chhou District, Kampot Province.
The events had three main aims:
1. To increase youth awareness of their potential to pursue careers that meet market demand.
2. To enhance networking among the youth themselves and between the youth and supporting stakeholders.
3. To foster the habit of sharing information and resources with one another.
As a result, the participants gained an understanding of the experiences of the camp included:
• Career Experience Sharing: Mr. Heng Pov, Deputy Governor of Teuk Chhou District, shared his work experience and opportunities for youth, emphasizing the importance of self-discovery for personal development.
• Discussion Forums: Participants engaged in debates on two separate topics, each involving 10 people, with five supporting and five opposing views:
o Rural Coffee Shops as an Income Opportunity for Youth.
o Rural Salons as an Income Opportunity for Youth.
• Team Building: A high-energy game was played at Kep beach to strengthen relationships among youth from CYNA, OREDA, and youth visitors from Norway.
• Educational Preparation: A session was held on preparing for studies at both the high school and university levels.
• Cooking Competition: All six groups participated in a cooking competition. A representative from each team presented their dish to the judging committee. This activity specifically contributed to soft skill education and building a spirit of unity.
• Community and Volunteerism: The camp concluded with the distribution of certificates of appreciation to OREDA’s youth volunteers and a boat trip to plant mangrove saplings in the Trapaeng Sangkae Fishing Community area.
