Celebration of World Environment Day 2025

On June 5th, 2025, eight CSOs and NGOs came together to celebrate World Environment Day in Cambodia under the theme “Good Policy, Proper Implementation, Clean Cambodia.” The event focused on key policy issues related to natural resources, environmental protection, plastic use, and pollution. A total of 150 participants attended the event, including 72 women.
Objectives:
To celebrate World Environment Day 2025 in Cambodia, urges the implementation of national and international policies as well as the responsibilities of stakeholders on environmental issues and climate change.
To promote public participation in monitoring policy implementation, with the goal of maintaining a clean environment and protecting natural resources particularly through raising awareness about the impacts of plastic use and air pollution.
To gather input from citizens, local communities, youth, and especially vulnerable groups, for inclusion in a joint statement highlighting challenges and proposing solutions related to environmental and natural resource policy implementation.
