In the workshop on inclusive education in ASEAN

Heng Kimhong, the President of the Cambodian Youth Network Association has been invited by Komas located in Malaysia to be a panelist in the workshop on inclusive education in ASEAN for the first time on 19 July 2024 in Laos.
The one-day workshop provided a platform for government and CSOs from six countries to share data, best practices, challenges, and ways forward on inclusive education in mainstream and informal education, and with marginalized groups.
The key takeaway from the workshop was the importance of ensuring that Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4) is achieved through inclusive education, which will lead to resilient ASEAN communities in the region.
The recommendations from the workshop will be compiled and presented to the ASEAN chair, the Malaysian Government, the ASEAN Secretariat, and other key stakeholders.
The organizers are encouraged to plan future engagements on other SDGs with other ministries in Laos. The organizer Pusat KOMAS also hopes to see similar discussions held in different countries in ASEAN to enhance the human rights framework and SDGs in each country.
